We just got our system up and running online yesturday. I also bought a new logitect headset. We can get gamers voices through the headset normal play however there seems to be something going on with the setting. For some reason thats all we get.. just the voices of others speaking into there mics. Our mic is not even working correctly despite being detected by the ps3. ITs a wired headset by the way. We have changed the audio selection in the settings but still have the problem.

Can anyone post up some sort of ideots guide to connecting a wired headset and getting everthing to work correctly??

I am such a ps3 noob //sighs//

What exactly is the problem? Are you saying that you can't talk back to the players you can only hear them? Or are you trying to get it so you hear everything (including the gunshots, background music, etc.) from the headset?

ok it seems to be game spacific. weird. For haze.. i get talk back through the headset from others online.

for mgs I get nothing.

I have the ps3 on digital output and the setting for audio acessory is set to usb.

is there something that I am missing?

Nope, that sounds about right. But I don't have Haze or MGS so I can't tell help you with those games specifically. But yeah you have the setup correct.

I'm having this same problem, except it's in Warhawk, my bluetooth headset syncs fine with the ps3 and everything's fine and dandy in the XMB. but in warhawk all i get is other people's mics. I tried with 'open mic' checked and unchecked and I got nothing.
