Laser Replacement Problems

I recently had my PS3 stop reading discs. I bought a new laser with dock/deck off ebay and attempted to put it in today;

The first time I used a youtube video and changed my old laser for the new one. I put it all back together following the same video.

I finished up, and powered it up. I stuck in a disc and it accepted it but didn't read it. Then when I went to eject the disc it would not come out.

So I took it apart and reassembled it. Now when I try to put in a disc it makes a clicking noise and won't take the disc.

I am giving up for today because I want to drop kick it into the street. So any help/tips would be greatly appreciated before I try it again tomarrow.
