ya i doubt you can listen to music while you play. Plus wouldn't it be pointless to do that, you could just have a radio or boom box playing in the background. Because the game sound needs to come out of the tv. it would sound messed up if you had cd music coming out of the tv as well

i downloaded my ipod music straight to the ps3. i remember iit was weird and didnt show up at first but just press triangle and it will say copy or delete... but yea i was really dissapointed that u cant listen to it while you play games, not like its gonna matter space wise but i think i still might take all my songs off the ps3 cuz theres no point having them on since i know im not gonna sit there watching a blank screen listening 2 music, aspecially when i can do that with my ipod or on my computer while doing other things.

you should be able to connect your ipod into the usb port and upload right away, as for listening while playing, i dont think that can happen and like crispino said, it would be messed up.

I think what they might end up doing is allowing you to play your songs that are downloaded on the ps3 through your playlist on your game...like they did with the xbox on some games.

and jeter...have you ever played a game with music in the backround...thats what they are talking about!

Apparently the ps3 recognises that the ipod is plugged in but can't recognise the file structure. Like the other guys said, try using a cd for the files.
