More headset ????????

Hey ya'll

I bought a Plantronics Explorer 320 bluetooth headset and am having trouble.

First off - has anybody successfully paired this model w/ the PS3??

Whenever I get to the pairing point the PS3 flashes a note on the screen "you have been disconnected from the access point".

What the heck does that mean (other than the obvious!!!).

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

I am thinking about taking it back and getting one of the Motorolas that I have seen elsewhere on this forum that have apparently worked fine. They are a bit more expensive so if i dont have to spend the extra cash....

Thanks again

lol julius your one funny guy, when the screen has the pop up "you have bee disconnected from the access point" it means you lost your internet connection nothing to do with the headset...but when you go to the audio device settings that is when you start pairing and after about 10-15 seconds the ps3 should read it...if not it may be because it isnt compadable

I'm affraid not.

Unfortunately I have to disagree with you, Jeter16.

I get the "You have been disconnected ..." too, when I try to pair my Plantronics 590A - and I really do get disconnected.
After that message, if I do an Internet Connection Test, it fails with the message "An error har occured during communication with the server. This is a DNS error. (80710102)".
The only way I can get back online is by rebooting.

Connection Status say I've got 97% signal strength (my router is close by), and I'm not experiencing any network problems otherwise.

So my guess is, that it has got something to do with the headset.

Regards

I have similar troubles too !

I scan for bluetooth headsets and PS3 sits there scanning while my connection is disconnected

Now........

I have checked my router settings and Universal Plug n Play is enabled. But when I check internet connection it states its not enabled still !!!! - damn thing.

Also I hear that my NAT type should be 2 but my routers is 3 (So checking connection tells me)

I am being brutally honest here and admit that the above two points are new ground for me and my tiny brain and I dont even know if these two things would stop MY PS3 fro finding my headset ??

(Headset is Sony Ericsson Bluetooth Headset HBH-PV700)

I NEED HELP BIG TIME COS THIS IS REALLY KILLING ME ! - any superbrains out there ?

Forget the headset with this

Ive just brought this Polycom Communicator thing from here and its the mutts nuts, soooooo much better than any headset ive ever used, completly handsfree - so when my mates come round everyone can get involved in the conversation!!!!

Well worth the money - share the banter!!!!

first to get a nat type 1 or 2 you need to have all forward ports also best to set a fixed ip if your running wireless and make sure you have UPnP on/enabled

then try and register your head set if it keeps disconnecting then i would try it wired and see if it works if not then take the head set back
