Frankly, I don't think you can... The Bluetooth file transfer service must be supported at both devices in order for you to use them to share files, from what I have seen with the PS3 so far, the only service it is supporting is Bluetooth 2.0 HID service, which allows you to pair your controllers, headphones, and remotes with the console.

In addition, I am not sure if the PS3's bluetooth services are set to discoverable, and that might be why your computer is not picking up the PS3 in your bluetooth manager.

Wait...so the PS3 has even less functionality than the 360? And it still costs more?

I don't have a 360, but I know 360 do not support Bluetooth at all, all of its wireless peripherals are connected using 802.11 (WiFi) based wireless services. How does the PS3 have less features when it supports both WiFi and bluetooth?

I never used a 360 but I am definitely satisfied with my PS3.

I have my PC's, laptop, and my PS3 networked together. So, I can transfer music, photos, files, videos, etc to one another.

It's simple to do. There may be other ways to do so but I juse use programs found on this site...

Interested that you say file transfer is easy using redkawa.com software. Is this loaded onto the PC, Playtation 3 or both? Also I had read somewhere that this website had spyware. Presumably you have not had any problems. Any info. about how you did this file transfer set-up would be very useful.

Thanks
billbir
