EA: Judge PS3 In 3 Years Time

Electronic Arts Boss Gerhard Florin has spoken out on the Playstation 3's price point in a recent interview with GamesIndustry.

"Look at the price in two years' time, and then you can say whether it's too high," said Florin, in an interview published today.

"Whether it's too high or not the consumer has to decide, but I don't think for the first year the price will be a problem which holds anything back," he added.

Florin makes a point that he believes for the next two years at least the consoles are in a pretty open race with each of the 3 consoles being supported in different ways.

Quote:
"Something like Harry Potter is a very clear candidate to lead on the Wii"

"Shooters like Medal of Honor, Black, we will clearly concentrate on PlayStation 3 because we need Cell processor power."

"Then we've got more strategic, online-orientated games that we concentrate more on 360," he added.

I'm sorry my brain can't actually comprehend anyone defending EA. EA are a bunch of twats who take a really good franchise like Medal of Honor and destroy it by producing a new game every year or Battlefield by saturating the market with shitty expansion packs rather than fixing the horrific bugs and exploits that kill their crappy games.

this is the 1st time i've seen something get to you so badly callmege, but i agree EA do have their really bad moments and i agree they should really make a solid decission and stick to it

it wud be better if developers made strong long term plans to prevent any confusion and hopefully put an end to last min crappy ports of games for other consoles and so on and so forth
