Namco Bandai need 500,000 sales to turn a profit
According to the President Takeo Takasu, Namco Bandai need to sell 500,000 units of their Playstation 3 titles before they can turn a profit.
The Japanese publisher spends over 1 billion Yen each year on graphics alone (6.5M Euros), more than double that of the Nintendo Wii titles.
"We have to sell at least 500,000 copies per title worldwide to make a profit on PlayStation 3 games," said Takasu.
Namco had teo of the highest selling release games for the PS3 launch, hitting a total of 22,000 units each at launch.
