Apparently waiting an age for games that have been out on other platforms is something the PS3 never seems to tire of. Just yesterday I received my copy of Lost Planet for the PS3, a game I completed on the Xbox 360 over a year ago. Now it seems Codemasters and Triumph Studios are going to be bringing us PS3 gamers some Overlording fun a little late also.
Overlord is a title that released on the Xbox 360 and PC midway through 2007. The game is hilarious and a lot of fun–PS3 only gamers are indeed in for a treat. In Overlord you play an Overlord (oddly enough) and you control minions with different powers. You can be as evil as you like and send your minions (cute little gremlin like creatures) to do your evil bidding, whilst smiting various imbeciles yourself.
The great thing about Overlord was that it brought something different to console gaming, so those tired of yet more driving, FPS and war based titles, keep Overlord on your radar, you’ll be glad you did. It’s due out later this year on the PS3.
