Remember I said I’d bring you a few PS3 promo posts to let you see what we reviewers get sent from the publishers now and again in anticipation of a titles release? Well here we are with a look back at just what was delivered when it was almost time for Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune to appear and very cool it is too.
As you’ll see in the images after the jump, this was actually a really cool promo kit and very in keeping with the style of the game. It essentially looks like an old book (titled: The Chronicles of Sir Francis Drake), complete with little ribbon to mark the pages, of which there are a few. Then at the back there’s a compartment with lots of goodies, like, a small book about Nathan Drake, a couple of old tea stained maps, luggage tag, a ‘property of Nathan Drake DVD disc with assets on it, a cipher for a code (a photo with holes in it to place over writing) and a letter from Nathan Drake about the book.
When it comes to promo gear Sony do it well, though I still haven’t quite forgiven them for that yellow Simpsons Ltd. Edition PSP box they sent out that was stuffed with sweets, joke stuff and other things that were not a yellow PSP… damn them…
