The Playstation Network is set for a whole new redesign this April. These are the first images made public by SCEE to show off the new-look PSN.

Unfortunately however this new redesign does come at a cost for European PS3 owners who will have to bear the brunt of a 2 week block on new PSN content. Sadly the European Store will not be updated between now and when the redesign goes live in “mid-April.”

On the plus side however Sony are promising a “special update in mid-April” in a bid to make up for the two weeks without new content.

Not that there was anything wrong with the old one (or current one) but this looks better. Maybe even a little easier to navigate. Right on

Yeah i agree, personally i thought the current layout does the job fine. But i guess as more and more content is added navigation etc because more of an issue.

Looking forward to that April mega-update though

Oh come one,how is it me and europe get screwed...

But hang on,are you saying there's a cost for european owners money-wise or the fact that we just won't have any online stuff for two weeks is the "cost"?

I think this new store looks very good from what I've seen and hopefully what will also happen is that Sony will finally get all the content updates between different regions in sync and maybe a bit more often (once a week is a little bit too infrequent in my opinion)

Any ways good work Sony looking forward to this and in game XMB (and home in the not to distant future if its not too much to ask lol)
