After a few weeks of waiting the newly re-designed Playstation Store is now up and running.

It seems that the store is still somewhat underconstruction as we’ve noticed a few images are still broken and there’s a couple of placeholders. But on the whole we love the new layout and theme, and you’ll be pleased to hear the store is now much quicker to navigate.

Also available for download is the newly release Firmware 2.30 along with a new Super Stardust HD update and a new patch for Lair.

I can't wait to get home and install the new update. I think the new store will be alot better as well. The old store was fine, just took a little time to navigate through it.

But the old one was a little to plain. And taking the items right out of the store once you download them, that was retarded. Now it shows you everything you already have and then some. The page display is alot bigger, so they can fit more info on it. I think the new store was a major improvment.

I too think the new play station store is a overall positive improvement and no one should miss the old one. The old store lagged and was shoved into the ps3 internet browser which was pretty sad. Every day the PS3 is matching the 360 more and more and soon will be better.
