PS3 Firmware Version 1.5 Coming Soon
The new Playstation 3 Firmware 1.5 is scheduled for release tomorrow according to Sony Japan. Sadly though it seems there is still ne plan to include 720p Blu-Ray playback. So as expected, unless you own a 1080p display you'll still have no choice but to watch BR movies in 1080i.
The new update will however include functionality to enable Edy (Japan's cell phone wallet system) to be used as a PlayStation store payment method.
Also included is a new audio option that will allow the volume of the user interface to be changed and give you the ability to use a custom photo as the system user icon.
