UK games magazine Edge have announced on their official website that the Playstation 3 will launch across the UK on March 23rd priced at £425.

According to http://www.edge-online.co.uk/ , the source of the information wishes to remain nameless and although the price and date have been strongly rumoured across the internet there is still no official word on the matter from Sony.

Sony last week stated plans to announce this information early this week, although recent reports suggest this announcement has been pushed back to either "Thursday or Friday".

sweet for news for you guys over their in the uk holding down. Im here in canada with my ps3 already purchased. just to tell you the thing is unbelievable which you probally know or you wouldnt be a member on this web site. i wanted to ask you if there are any ps3's over there, in for say a gaming store that you can at least look at and try out.

Yeah there was one in my local games shop playing Ridge Racer 7 (rubbish) and Resistance (the game I'll be getting with mine)
