Sony have today announced the dates and prices for their PAL PS3 consoles. The territories Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Australasia will be able to get their hands on the PS3 on 23rd March 2007 at a price of EURO 599 (GBP 425, AUD 999.95, NZ 1199.95).
Responding to retail and consumer demand, SCEE confirmed that initially only the 60GB model would be available, with the 20GB model to follow later in the year dependent on demand.
An expected one million PS3 units will be made available during the initial launch period.

All we need to find out now is who many consoles each country is gonna get. Iv had a PS3 on pre-order since june 06 and i was second on the list. If i dont get one im gonna be pissed.

Yea that's always a worry, try and get a preorder with as many places as possible a bit greedy i know but i've been stung in the past before ordering solely from one store.
Yeah mate i was thinking of doing that. I will ring up the place i orderd from and see what they are gonna do. Hopefully if for e.g they get 10 ps3's the first 10 people that had there name on the list get it. I would be unfair that people that have been on pre- order since June 06 and they miss out to somebody that pre-orderd on March 07.
