How to Clone MAC Address

Hi guys,

Sorry if this question has been discussed earlier. I really searched through the forums, but haven't find it.

My problem is that I have a wireless router (Linksys WRT54GL) and a cable connection installed in my desktop PC. I have already cloned in my router the MAC Address of my ethernet board, since my ISP only allows one per account.

My question is: I can't use the wireless connection with my PS3, and as far as I know it is because the MAC address stated in it is different from my ethernet/router.

Is there any way to fix this? How to connect wirelessly with this configuration (cable connection/wireless router Linksys WRT54GL)??

Thanks for the support.

Best regards.

Mauro

I thought MAC addresses were pretty permanent things. And if your ISP only allows 1 MAC address for the connection, then I suggest you switch to an ISP that isn't gay.

I don't think the mac address thing would be causing you to have problems connecting the ps3 to the router. It's probably something else

MAC address can be spoofed just like IP addresses. You clone your MAC address through your router configuration. Go to your internet browser and type in http:// followed by your router's internal (NAT'd) IP address (Usually it is 192.168.x.1). Once you got to the router configuration page, check and see if there is a WAN setup section, typically speaking, the MAC address clone option is in there.
