Funny you should ask. That's exactly what I got, with inbuilt modem. I only got the 54mbs model since my broadband isn't particularly fast. I've tried it on Motorstorm and Resistance and it holds up pretty well. I recommend it I got mine from PC world for £59.99.

Only downside was my lack of networking experience. It says on the box it can be set up in 3 mins. It took me over 3 hours!! Plenty of head scratching and hair pulling ensued. This was only to set it up through my PC though, it was picked up and set up in about 2 mins with my Ps3.

All of my home networking equipment is made by Belkin, and I have been very satisfied with them. We have all Cisco products at work, and they tend to run for 15+ years, so I would also recommend Linksys, since Cisco is the mother company to Linksys.

I'm glad this suject has been brought up because I'm also thinking of a new router. I currently have a Belkin F5D7630, owever I have an issue using a headset on Motorstorm and I think this is because of my Nat setting. The PS3 detects Nat as type 2, limiting voice chat, however if I turn of my routers firewall and get Nat3 my connection keeps dropping.
Any ideas or setting that I need to look at?

Lostdog, I haven't tried this since I don't have a headset, but I think port forwarding may help with your problem (and save you some cash from buying that new router). Go to your router configuration and get to the "port forwarding" or "virtual server" section. Forward TCP 4658, 4659 and UDP 4658 and 4659 to your PS3's NAT IP address. I believe back in the early 2000's Sony registered these ports for their PS2 network communications, and I am fairly certain this should solve your problem.

I've got a Netgear DG834G and I've never had an issue with it. Took only a few minutes to get set up and the config interface was easy enough to navigate.

Looked at Belkin routers, but my Dad recommended Netgear from first hand experience, so went with that. I've got a Belkin Wireless G USB Adaptor though and vouch for that also, so I reckon if you go for either brand, you wouldn't be disappointed.

Hondan, yet again thanks for the info.
Once I configured my router as suggested the headset started working.
Many thanks again!
