I don't think wireless is supported in either YDL or Fedora. The problem is, the OS needs a driver to properly recognize the PS3 WiFi card, and to my knowledge, no such driver exists. However, I could be wrong, since I don't use a WiFi connection with my Fedora, your best bet is to search the net and see if there is a PS3 wireless adapter driver available.

If you are having problems with wired connection, then boot into Gnome, and go to system > administration > Network and create a new ethernet connection with the eth0 profile checked. Activate the connection and it should reset the ethernet connection for you...

YDL suposedly has some type of beta driver or software from sony which they arecurrently working on. They will probably have the driver first. I also read somewhere that they should have te graphics drivers in the not to distant futurebecause nvidia is going to release linux drivers it just needs to be converted to ppc.

Not even wired. Also you can only play 2D graphics
For now LINUX doesn't support even Card reader.

But you can use USB ports and BD in order even to make BD backups.
All ps3 fans are waiting to ad drivers to these systems.
I herd that the best LINUX on PS3 is Yellow dog.
You can check it in ''Playstation 3 Chat'' named as: ''The best linux on ps3''

I'm pretty sure it supports wired, just not wireless. YDL supports HD, the fedora distro only has low resolution or something like that. I'm not sure so check their websites. That and please don't spread misinformation.

As for why to install it? XMB's web browser is slow and annoying, that and it is possible to run emulators of other game systems in Linux. When the support is there and someone cracks the PS3 you may even be able to play your PS3 games from Linux, or save the entire game to the HD and have no need for a BRD. With YDL there is driver support for certain external usb capture cards. With a capture card and software for Linux you can turn your PS3 into a DVR. Linux distros, also come with open office, which is basically a free version of similar apps that come in microsoft office or works.

Linux also comes packaged w/ development tools (debuggers, compilers etc) all for free under the gnu license.
