should either appear on your menu when u click the start button, or on my laptop on the bottom right hand side there is an icon with two computer screens, which when i put the cursor on it comes up with local area connections and click on that.

there could be a lot of reasons why this wouldnt work but generally its because your network connect from a usb modem is usualy for a single device. Depending on the modem you can share it like stated above or purchase a switch or router and share the connection.

The switch or router could also have issues depending on whether the device allows sharing of the connection or you have to do something crazy like clone the mac addy. It depends. Simpliest way is stated above but who wants to have their desktop/ps3/modem in the same room...... Not me (or have to run one long ass cable to the ps3).

First off post the specs/model of your modem, and your internet service provider, and your goals on how you want to connect your ps3 and computer.

If your ISP/modem allows sharing of the connection go get a usb female to cat5 connector and buy a nice router.
