So I've had my PS3 for 6 weeks.
I got it on the day it was launched in the UK and I have to say I'm thrilled to bits with my purchase. Hell, I even bought a HDTV just solely for my PS3 such is my dedication.

There is, however, one aspect of my PS3 that is so far proving a huge disappointment. This is the PS Store. We were promised so much, but yet so far Sony have delivered so little. 6 weeks in and all we have are a few demos and a couple games. Every friday I check the Store out hoping to find a nice juicy bit of software to keep me entertained, and every time I come away disappointed.
Where is the selection of PS1 games? Where's Mortal Kombat 2? I am waiting patiently for Calling All Cars and now I find that even this has been delayed, I mean, what's going on????

On the whole the PS3 has been a really good experience for me and it's actually my first foray into the world of online console gaming but the Store is really letting it down.

I don't want to download videos advertising a machine I already own, I want proper content!!! Games!! Demos!! Sony really need to step up their act because my patience is running out, and I never thought I'd say that.

i agree, at the mo the store does blow pretty bad, i cant see why they cant just give us the same as the usa and jap stores straight away, the content is there, how hard can it be?

Well it's a typical case of us Europeans being last in the queue I think. It's strange how, since Europe and the UK have such a huge (and mostly loyal) PlayStation, we tend to get forgotten about. We get everything waaaaaayyyy later than everyone else, and, usually it's not even the same product!! (PS3 without Emotion Engine chip anyone?) I'm getting tired of us always being the last to get products.

Can anyone tell me, is it the same with the 360? I don't own one, and I'm just interested if it's a problem all companies have, or is it just Sony?

I agree, there is virtually nothing of interest on the EU PS store at the moment.

I've created an American account and gone on their store jus to download Ninja Gaiden but even their store isn't up to much. Roll on Calling all cars.
