Free games... how does this work?
I know that if you buy something on the PSNetwork store that you are allowed to give it to 5 of your mates but how does this work?
From what I understand, you log in, you add funds to your wallet, you buy the item, you then go to your mate's house and create a new user account on his system and log in to the store from there and download the game using your account details.
My problem is this: Your bank account details are stored on the server and your account is on your mate's system so they can buy whatever they want with your card (...they never ask for your passwor to transfer money to your acount...)
unless you remove your account from their system after you are done.
However, I have heard that if you yourself buy a game and for some reason loose it and try to download it again but using a differnt user account on the same system, the game will give an error and it won't work.
This has led me to believe that downloaded games will only work on a system that still has the user account used to download it even if you do not use that account to play the game with.
Can anyone please clarify/verify this for me???
I have already bought Tekken, flow and sudoku and would like to form a buddy-group-gang-partnership-club-circle-whatever so we can buy and share between each other but I do not want to give my bank details to a person I never even met(!!!!!!)
how then does this work?
The only way I can think of to do this would be for every member of said buddy-bla-bla-bla-whatever to create a separate account for this download purposes and add their bank details before every purchase and removes it afterwards again. This however seems like a real drag and one can never be sure that one will spend exactly the amount that is in the wallet. In fact one is more likely NOT to do so due to the amounts you are required to pay in at a time. Thus you cannot remove your bank details cause you still have funds... or can you... Dunno...
So yeah, once again, how does this whole download but don't share your bank details program work?

Two ways to prevent this from happening.
(1) Remove the tick from 'remember password' So your freind will not be able to access your account.
(2) Log into your freinds account on the PS3, then highlight your account and press Triangle, and select DELETE.
Job done, Cannot answer your other questions, sorry

Regarding answer 2. That is what bothers me. I was led to believe that if you delete the account you downloaded FROM, then none of the other accounts can play the game for some reason. Security maybe?
Regarding answer 1... Darn it. How did I miss that one?
This still means that if I were to ask you for example to go into the deal with me that I will have to trust you to forget the passord and not make the tick. Since you are overseas and I don't know you and all. This basically means my idea won't work. I can't just post a wanted add in here and get 5 people to share with. i will have to ask the people I actually knwo with PS3s (all 1 of him) in person... Phoei!

Hmmm You got me thinking, thats a pretty sweet idea. For example you post a thread saying I have xxxxx and anyone want these for free, just loginto Random on your dashboard and download the games from the store under your account.
Now like you, my main concern will be CREDIT CARD DETAILS. (I am at work at the moment so cannot test this) But say for example, I set up a new account and put a few pound onto that account via a credit card. I could then go to the PSstore and buyy that games I want. Then log into account management and delete my credit card details. Then post the user name / email with a password online for other people to access and download the games I brought... I wonder if that would work?
Also, here in the UK you can buy pay as you go credit cards. Just top it up the amount you want and go online buying things until your credit runs out.
