just got a ps3. need a access point to go wireless with it. any one no where to get one.ive got a netgear router. does it have to be a netgear access point?

Your router should provide a wireless connection. Search for it on your PS3.

im already connected uo to the internet im using a ethernet cable at the moment. i want to be able have the ps3 wireless?

unplug the ethernet fool......then in network settings change from wired to wireless and go from there.

Stop Flaming! Maybe he just has a standard modem. It's acually pretty obvious to determine if its a router or a wireless router. If you get one I recommened getting a Linksys.

Linksys sucks.......and he says he has netgear......soooooo netgear would be the access point he should see from the ps3.....unless he doesnt have a wireless router....
hell.....the routers come with idiot proof pictured diagrams......thats not usually the problem......its in the network settings that people will mess up....
