In Rainbow Six Vegas some people have been getting errors where you are in the middle of a game and then suddenly your returned to the XMB. Or you can't connect to your friend's game or you just get errors with letters and numbers. I've been getting all of these and I think I have figured out how to fix them !

The following might only work on a Linksys Router. I am not responsible for any problems that may result after this.

1. On your computer, type your IP address in the address bar. In most cases your IP is 192.168.2.1 . For example instead of typing www.google.com , type 192.168.2.1 . It might ask you for a user name and a password, leave the username blank and put in "admin" as the password without the two quotes or " . Once you have done that, click on the Applications & Gaming tab. Then click on Port Range Foward on the smaller tab. Make it the following:
Start 80, End 80, TCP, 192.168.2.109, Put a check next to enable
Start 443, End 443, TCP, 192.168.2.109, Put a check next to enable
Start 5223, End 5223, TCP, 192.168.2.109, Put a check next to enable
Start 3478, End 3479, UDP, 192.168.2.109, Put a check next to enable
Start 3658, End 3658, UDP, 192.168.2.109, Put a check next to enable
Then at the bottom of the page click " Save Settings "
Next, Click Continue. After that, click the Administration Tab. Then click the smaller tab that says " Management ". Under UPnP make sure the dot is in the Enable circle. Next, Save your settings.

2. On your Playstation 3, go to Settings>Network Settings>Internet Connection Settings. Select Wired or Wireless depending on if it is connected directly to your router with an ethernet cable. Then Custom,Auto-Detect,Manual, Put the IP Address as 192.168.2.109,Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0,Default Router/Gateway ( Your Routers IP Adress ) Most of the time it's 192.168.2.1,Primary DNS as 192.168.1.1,Secondary DNS as 0.0.0.0, MTU as Automatic,Proxy Server Do Not Use, UPnP Enable, Enter. If you test the connection, a NAT type may not come up but the problems in the first paragraph may be fixed.
