I just got my ps3 a month ago and yesterday i got the head set and started to play online. I was playing fight night and my video stream would freeze and did not seem smooth but slow and delayed. it was hard to hear the player I was fighting. It was not because it was quite but poor signal. I tried to fight player that showed 3 bars beside their name for best signal and I also live in a city so reception should be great. maybe i dont have the right internet setup?????? I have a wireless hookup from my computer modem.. is this happening to everybody? can someone help me fix this problem? thank you ......

Give the ps3 time to adjust to it the same thing happend to me in RSV. It was so laggy I couldnt even play but now its smooth and plays perfect.

Never had a problem with my wireless play online on any game apart from Fight Night Round 3. I actually think it's more to do with the servers EA are using and less to do with the PS3's connection. I used to have fights that suffered from so much lag that it made it completely unplayable whereas I could dive into a 40 player deathmatch on Resistance or a 12 player race on MotorStorm without even the slightest hint of lag. Do you have any other games with which to test this? If the other games are fine then I suspect it's shitty EA servers.

Ya EA online does suck........And ya Resistance always is perfect.

I just rented madden 08 and I am about to try it online. I play Ea games the most. I enjoy NHL, MADDEN, TIGERWOODS and so on are they all off the same servers. how is the bluetooth quality on your end, i find it hard to hear people talk clear.

Again it may depend on the game or even the headset itself. My Bluetooth headset is very clear and I can hear perfectly in MotorStorm. Unsure if all the games you speak of are off the same servers. I wouldn't think so, I would assume that each game would have its own dedicated servers.

thanks for the help. my head set is a madcat bluetooth. $70. does it depend where the person you are against is located. example : canada, europe and so on

Different locations use different servers so I suppose this could be a factor in the quality of Bluetooth signal but again it could be the headset itself. I borrowed a Nexxus Bluetooth headset off my gf recently and, while it worked it was almost impossible to hear what other people where saying while playing MotorStorm. I bought myself a Sony Ericsson Bluetooth headset and the sound quality is far superior.

And when I said "time to adjust" just play it even if it is laggy and it will fix itself very soon.

one last question. does your ps3 ever lose your internet connect, mine will somethimes say that a connection error has occured.. ?????

that depends on you isp (internet service provider) and if your dsl goes down your ps3 will and the error is a dns error where it cannot locate a way point that has connection.
