sony charging money for psn???

i dont know about anyone else but i reckon sony should set up an online server like xbox live and charge but cheaper than the xbox and make online play beter and quicker for the ps3

i think that people go to buy the ps3 and think errr i dont know as the xbox has xbox live and its gotta be better than a free network for only £50 a year

please post your thoughts

I would be happy to pay £50 a year if they made it much much better. But I don't see how they could do this.

Hmmmm.Think about this for a moment. Airborne is an EA game and therefore uses EA servers. This has nothing to do with Sony, it's EA that need to provide more servers.

I applaud Sony for offering a sterling service for free but people do have a you get what you pay for mentality and i think Raz has a point people do think if you pay for it its better. But I'm happy with having PSN for free and find it a great part of the whole PS3 package and a large proportion of PS3 owners think the same.

Well, considering that I haven't had any problems on ny of my games, it looks like it's EA's fault.

massive mistake on their part if they did ever charge. a lot of people i know, including me, love the fact it's free and would be massively pissed off if they did start to charge, just more hassle and another 50 odd quid a year that people would probably still get the hump with anyway in the end.

sony have got it spot on. lets not forget that the ps3 as a whole is still virtually brand new and there'll be 1000's of improvements all around in the next few years, i'm sure of that.
