internet connection sharing problem

thanks to another post on this forum i believe i managed to setup my computer to share its internet connection but my ps3 is not seeing the wireless network my computer is creating. i have my ethernet cable plugged into my laptop for internet. then i want to have the ps3 wirelessly connected to my computer but it is not seeing the network. any ideas?
