Wireless Connection

I have an Alltell wireless card that attaches to my computer. Due to that I do not have the internet hardwired into my apartment. Because of that I do not have a router. Can I connect my PS3 directly to my computer and then log on to the internet using the computer and card as the router? Thanks for any help you can provide.
