COD4 -- Problem ...from Bad to Good...back to Bad
I'm having a problem with COD4 online. I first tried it online here at school with our network (plug in the ethernet cable). That just gave me the "downloading game settings" for a minute then it put me in the lobby area and i clicked find game and it would just say something else forever and never work. here (at school) i have an NAT type 1 UPnP not available. I went home over the weekend and brought it to try it out. Got home and it downloaded an update for COD when i went into the game. Then the online worked great. Came back here thinking it would work since now it was able to download the update, and it still doesnt work. It doesnt even get past the downloading game settings screen anymore. At home i believe my NAt type was 2 and UPnP was available (It's wireless). So is there anything I can do here to get it to work?
also, in my dorm I can pick up a wireless signal from a study lounge nearby, but i tried that and it does the same thing as when i have the ethernet plugged in. I also have madden 2007 and Rainbow 6 vegas which both work online here at school. COD is the only problem
