I bought my PS3 used from someone, and i am a huge online gamer and found it very upsetting i cant pick my id (since the old user has one chosen). he has his password and e-mail saved in it so i dont know if i can register a new name with a new email or what?

Just delete the old account and set up a new account that will contain your details. You can have multiple users on one ps3, all with their own psn accounts anyway but no point having an account on it that won't be used.

Create a new user name then make the new account because you will not be able to change you PSN ID

I had this same problem and I was wondering if I delete an account I assume everything from that account will be deleted also? The original owner had downloaded Warhawk and I really don't feel like buying it again, which is why I have two PSN ids listed.
