I Just got my ps3 a week ago just got my comcast internet installed 3 days ago when i first got my internet installed my ps3 was going online like a champ then i woke up this morning and had connection problems i went threw the connection settings like a hundred times with resetting my modem and all that i call comcast internet connection strong nothing wrong on there end the i called sony still not working then after about 8 hours i decied to go to the system infomation on my ps3 it had a ip address and below it said private network only then i went threw the network settings and when i clicked on easy it promped me to insert my ethernet cable will my cable was already inserted in the back on my ps3 Can someone please help

Hi. I have a wireless connection but just try doing everything manually...

if you dont have a router and your modem is connected to the computer you have to put your computer in sleep mode or cut it off then restart the modem or i want connect to the PS3 network (this is only if you dont have a router)

I am having the same problem with my internet connection. I had it wireless for about a year now and then decided to change it to wired since I started to frequently lose my connection, (and this started after all the updates.) I have doesn't the manual settings for both settings and the automatics. Still I can not connect. It is a roll of the dice for it to connect. Also it seems the the video section of the PSN (when i can get on) is no longer available. I have a the 4 port router, the high speed internet. Anyone have any ideas what is going on.

Thanks for any help I'm very frustrated

To add to the previous post, i receive a DNS error 80710102. It is telling me there is a problem when connecting to the server. Still have no idea how to fix this and Bionic Commando Rearmed comes out Thursday.

do u have a firewall blocking the access? even windows vista ones can block it...i had that 102 message one all the time when i tried it wired but wireless just picked my network straight away

No, it worked fine a month ago using wireless i might have to try to connect 3 times but it would, now it won't connect at all. So I thought by going wired it would give me a stronger connection but I'm still having the same problem. The other weird thing is that I no longer see the VIDEO section on PSN when i can get on. Did they take it down? I am updated to 2.42

I had the video section on my PSN page but after updating my system with the firmware it vanished. Can some one explain to me what happened?
