PSN Video Chat Disconnecting
I know the problem is with the Router because if I plug direct to the modem it works fine.
All my online games and everything else that requires an internet connection works flawlessly with everything I tried below except for the PSN Video Chat portion. It works for a few seconds and than either just disconnects me from PSN or just kicks me out of the Chat. (and I never see the other guy's video, only voice for a few sec.)
Hardware: DLINK DIR-825
I have tried:
DHCP and Static IP
Wired and Wireless
I use WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK Encryption (this I haven't tried to disable yet)
All the Port Forwarding possible (TCP/UDP 80,443,5223,3478,3479,3658,10070-10080)
uPnP and no uPnP (actually usually if you manually do port forwarding the uPnP will sometimes get disabled on the router)
Automatic DNS and manual DNS (to my Router and to my ISP DNS)
Static MAC Address filtering
My NAT type is alway Type 2
My Wireless connection is always 100%
I use the PSEye for Video/Voice Chat
Either there is an issue with Video not getting transfered over my Router (like a specific port that doesn't go through just for Video or maybe it's the Encryption).
My best scenario would be to make this work without having to forward ports since I can make uPnP work and I'm able to get Type 2 NAT.
The latest firmware patches for my router don't mention anything about fixing these kind of issues (so I haven't touched the firmware)
All I have left to try is to disable Encryption, try to Update the firmware and dip my Router in the Pool (and maybe throw it a few time from the 2nd floor onto my driveway)
Not sure what to try anymore...not much online about the DLINK DIR-825 because it's fairly recent
and expensive. (so not a lot of people are using it)
