Register Your PSN ID
If you're worried someone might claim your desired gamer tag you can now register/reserve your nick witout the PS3 console.

You can reserve you PSN ID now (PS3 Gamertag). You have to sign-in on your PS3 using the email your provide when you reserve the ID, on or before March 31 otherwise it will no longer be reserved for you.

I don't know what my gamertag should be...maybe someting simple like *Chris*...but seeing as that is simple, it will already be long gone!

I will take a look now though

If I say that I am 18, is there anyway of Sony finding out my real age? Will they check my bank account if I ever buy from PS Store?

You do need a credit card in order to make PS Store purchases, but I don't think it really matters. Just ask for your parent's permission or something.

What I mean though is:

I am 16, will be 17 in may.

But, if I make a fake birth date up and pretend to be 18 (you have to be 18 to make a master account), would Sony be able to trace me or something?

Country Prob
Hello there, I just register here and in the network with my same id.

I have a question i hope u can help me. When i registered my playstation network account there was no option for my country (Mexico) so i choose a different country just to assure my ID. Would this bring me trouble when i try to play online?

At the moment, I don't think the location really matters since not a lot of games support online. It only starts to matter when Home goes live because you'll be grouped with the people based in the location you entered. Since you're in Mexico, you'd probably still be grouped with North Americans anyway. If it really matters, I guess you can abandon your account and make another one when your country has been added to the list.

can plzz sum1 help me when i click on the link i sign in with my network handle fing and then when it comes to the registartion bit for the new id yeh and on the 1st page the country and the language are COMPLETELY BLANK! plzz sum1 help me when i enter my date of birth yeh it goes 2 a page tha only says 1 thing and that is back

I have the same problem. Ive read somewhere else that Sony have stopped this registration site until Friday. Anyone know?
